6. Gift ideas that support Indigenous businesses

With the holidays around the corner, we thought we’d compile a list of some of our favorite Indigenous-owned businesses that we love to support at this time of year:

Catharine Winstanley’s suggestions:

Manitobah Mukluks
Super cozy mukluks, some manufactured in Canada, others in Vietnam, but all designed by Indigenous artists. Fully Indigenous-owned. Mine are waterproof and so cozy.

Local to North Vancouver:

Joanne Natrall, Squamish Nation: Beaded earrings, necklaces etc. email for information: jmnatrall@gmail.com. I bought some beaded earrings from her at the Osprey Festival that feature blue hummingbirds and they are so light and pretty. My daughter also snagged this pair- her first pair of earrings ever!

Kiki Whitebear: Beadwork artist, weaver; I snagged this gorgeous dreamcatcher while at the Osprey Festival too. I love the design.
